Before evr.lv officially launched, one thing was already clear to us: if we want to change the way people buy electronics, we need to start the conversation early, and with the right audience. That’s why meeting students at Latvijas Universitāte (LU) was such an important step for EVR Solutions.
Meeting the next generation
At the LU event, our team had the opportunity to speak directly with students, listen to their questions, and introduce them to what evr.lv was about to become. Rather than selling a product, the goal was simple: start a dialogue.
We talked about everyday challenges students face: limited budgets, frequent tech needs, and the pressure to always buy new. From there, the conversation naturally shifted toward second-hand electronics as a smarter, more sustainable, and more economical alternative.
Rethinking new
For many students, the idea of buying refurbished or second-hand electronics still comes with doubts. Is it reliable? Is it safe? Is it really worth it? At LU, we took the time to explain how responsible reuse works, how quality can be ensured, and how extending the life of electronics directly helps reduce e-waste and environmental impact.
The response was encouraging. Students were curious, engaged, and genuinely interested in learning how their purchasing decisions could make a difference: both for their wallets and for the planet.
Sustainability starts with awareness
